All Saints Boyne Hill, Maidenhead

Lent Services 2017

During Lent we will be welcoming guest speakers at our 10:00am Sunday Services who will be helping us to ‘Dwell in the World’. We will be challenged to think about practical Christianity and how we might find friendly partners to share ministry with. Two of these will be followed by a Soup Lunch (March 5th and April 2nd). Stations of the Cross will also take place each week and we will have a weekly evening Compline with Art reflecting on the four gospel pictures of the Cross. We also have Sing for Joy on Sunday Afternoon 19th March led by our Young Rock Shop Musicians.

The stations grew out of imitations of Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem which is believed to be the actual path Jesus walked to Mount Calvary. The object of the stations is to help to make a spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ. We will travel from station to station, in order, stopping at each station to say the selected prayers and reflections.
